![]() ![]() ![]() I agree with OP that I’ve observed this too from time to time. They will dedicate performance to gaming, they will put heat, noise and power consumption much lower in their priorities and this will provide a much better experience if they do that. I do see a future 4-5 years from now that could make gaming on Mac a great experience, but remember that lower and lower technology nodes (7nm, 5nm) will also come to AMD, Intel and NVidia. You get performance (and thereby experience) that is so much better for way less money, on a PC, than you can ever get on a Mac. Especially for newcomers in this sub: Gaming on Mac is, at best, a mediocre experience. ![]() You have to run through a lot of hoops to find out how to run the games to provide the best experience.īut let's be real. The rest runs over Rosetta (Which is a performance marvel in its own right), crossover or straight up virtualizing Windows. Some games (very few) run natively to the M1. I put my reddit karma at your peril posting this here, but this fact must become more visible here on this sub. ![]() I get the mood, especially with the launch of the M1's, but this sub is misleading newcomers into believing that gaming on a Mac is a good experience. I've read a lot of posts here and watched a lot of youtube videos on gaming on the M1. ![]()
